1. Seahawk Families Celebrate Legacy and Tradition
UNCWAA honored the past and celebrated the future at the 17th annual Legacy Pinning Ceremony, providing 75 legacy students a unique opportunity to be “pinned” by their Seahawk alumni family members.
2. Hawk’s Harvest Receives Impact-Making Community Donation
With campus and community support, including a recent $8,000 donation, the Hawk’s Harvest food pantry has grown into a thriving and sustainable campus organization striving to ensure no Seahawk goes hungry.
3. Friends of UNCW Grant Program Awards More Than $25,000
In 2024, the Friends of UNCW Grant Program awarded $25,000 to support 16 campus projects and programs that directly benefit students, faculty and staff. In the past two decades, the program has raised more than $275,000 to support 335 projects.
4. Pints with Professors
Diana Walsh Pasulka, UNCW professor of religion and technology, led a thought-provoking presentation that bridged the gap between religious studies, technological advancements and the enigmatic realm of UFO phenomena.
5. UNCWAA Launches Teal World to the Real World
The UNCW Alumni Association (UNCWAA) launched Teal World to the Real World in fall 2024, a new event series exclusively for young alumni to learn more about important “real world” topics, such as financial planning, health and wellness and more.
