UNCW Commencement Ceremonies Set for May 10-11

UNCW will hold five ceremonies during its spring 2024 commencement exercises May 10-11, graduating approximately 2,919 students (2,204 undergraduate, 628 master’s and 86 doctoral*). All ceremonies will take place in Trask Coliseum. 

The schedule: 
Graduate Programs Ceremony 
Friday, May 10 | 12 p.m. (noon) 
All master's and doctoral graduates from all five colleges participate in this ceremony. 
 
Undergraduate Ceremonies 
College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts 
Friday, May 10 | 4 p.m. 
 
Cameron School of Business and Watson College of Education 
Saturday, May 11 | 9 a.m. 
 
College of Health and Human Services 
Saturday, May 11 | 1 p.m. 
 
College of Science and Engineering 
Saturday, May 11 | 5 p.m. 
Doors will open one hour before the ceremony starts. The processional starts promptly at the time listed above. Graduates are required to report to Hanover Gym at least 45 minutes prior to their respective ceremony start time (each is expected to last 2-2.5 hours). 

All ceremonies will be livestreamed. The livestream will begin approximately one hour before the ceremony start time. Rebroadcasts will be available on the livestream page shortly after the ceremony.  

Many departments host separate celebrations and receptions from May 9-11. These events are not livestreamed. 

General parking for graduates and guests during the commencement ceremonies will be available in the Trask Lot, with overflow parking available in Hamilton Lot. Guests with a state-issued disability placard are encouraged to park in the Trask Lot at Wagoner Drive. Those without a state-issued disability placard can drop off guests in front of Trask Coliseum prior to being directed to a parking space. Graduates and guests are encouraged to arrive early, exercise caution and patience, and consider carpooling. Please observe posted signs and refrain from parking on the grass or fields.  
  
Hanover Lot (gated) and Eaton Plaza will be closed May 10 and 11 to support commencement. UNCW baseball and softball are hosting home weekend games. Please plan accordingly for increased traffic on and around campus.
