UNCW Celebrates 100th Commencement Exercises

Saturday, May 08, 2021

UNCW held multiple ceremonies to celebrate its one-hundredth commencement exercises May 7 and 8. Members of the Class of 2021 (nearly 2,183 undergraduates, 593 master’s and 31 doctoral students) were individually recognized, regardless of whether they chose virtual or in-person attendance. Please see the "We Are The Class of 2021" website to learn more about a few of this year's graduates.

Virtual Ceremony Information:
The virtual ceremony was made available for viewing beginning at 1 p.m. on May 7, and it will be accessible for later viewing for one year.

In-Person Ceremonies were held in Trask Coliseum:
Friday, May 7 at 1 p.m.
Friday, May 7 at 5 p.m.
Saturday, May 8 at 9 a.m.
Saturday, May 8 at 1 p.m.

Graduates were provided one guest ticket for their in-person ceremony and COVID-19 protocols were strictly followed. COVID-19 precautions precluded graduates from walking into the coliseum together. Graduates were individually recognized from their seats during their in-person ceremony. Social distancing precautions also precluded faculty attendance at this year’s in-person ceremonies. Faculty Senate President Nathan Grove represented the faculty.

All in-person ceremonies were livestreamed and close-captioned for remote viewing.

Please visit the commencement site for additional information.
