The Beach Volleyball team continued to excel in the classroom in the spring, leading the way with a GPA of 3.754. The Women's Cross Country team finished second among the teams at 3.744 and the Volleyball team ranked third at 3.721.
"Another impressive academic performance by UNCW student-athletes amidst a global pandemic is an indication of their remarkable diligence and focus on personal growth through education," said Drew Scales, associate athletics director for Student-Athlete Support Services. "Our student-athletes have collected other great scholarly achievements beyond the grade point averages this year that were a joy to witness. The academic outcomes are a byproduct of a culture reinforced by Athletics Department administration, coaches and support staff adhering to premium academic standards. We are all very proud of their success."
