Monday, April 26, 2021

The UNCW Student Body Government has passed a resolution expressing its appreciation to the university’s administration, faculty and staff for their planning and response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The statement of appreciation, passed on April 6, 2021, touted efforts to “maintain university functionality” and recognized that “while future circumstances continue to be variable, the divisions’ and individuals’ resilience and dedication has led to a successful academic year.”

The SGA expressed its sincere gratitude to those who have worked “to prioritize constituent safety, high caliber of instruction, and key elements of the student experience,” the resolution states.

On March 23, 2020, UNCW classes shifted from in-person instruction to online/alternate instruction to help stem the potential spread of COVID-19.
