Dear Campus Community,

You did it! You made it to the end of a roller coaster of a semester – not that we ever had any doubt you would. We have been proud of you at every phase of your UNCW journey, and never more so than recently, when you’ve had to dig deep to finish the year strong.

I want to be sure this doesn’t feel like “just another Friday” during these weeks that have been such a blur. Many of you have just finished final exams, and many of you should have been walking across the stage today and tomorrow to get your diplomas.

To our undergraduates: Have a safe and productive summer, and cherish every moment of your time away - we are eager to see you all in the fall!

To our brand-new graduates: We may not be able to applaud you in person today, but you can bet we are doing so from afar (here is one of the many ways!). Congratulations, and thank you for making UNCW an ongoing part of your life, in years past and in the future - because you’ll always be Seahawks, no matter where you go from here!

To our faculty and staff: Thank you for another stellar academic year of going the extra mile for our students and for this place we love.

Congratulations again, Class of 2020 - and go Seahawks!
