As previously promised, we are writing tonight to alert you to the announcement that New Hanover County has identified its first presumptive-positive case of coronavirus in the county. They believe this to be a travel-related case.
 
UNCW health officials have reached out to New Hanover County Public Health officials and we will notify the campus community as soon as possible if there is a suspected risk to our population.
 
Please continue to follow recommended preventive precautions, including social distancing and washing your hands.
