New Hanover County has just announced five additional positive coronavirus cases. UNCW is not aware of any connection to employees or students at this time. If that changes, we will notify you via email. We strongly recommend all employees and students (and their families) register for emergency alerts from New Hanover County by visiting this page (under “Stay Informed”). As cases continue to climb in our region, it is critical that our community remains aware of situational updates, and registering for emergency alerts via New Hanover County is an important way of doing that. For those students who have remained on campus, we must remind you of social distancing guidelines: Please keep 6 feet between you and others, including while waiting in line for campus services, and avoid any unnecessary gatherings whatsoever (meals, recreational activities, etc.). Call the Student Health Center (910.962-3280) or Counseling Center (910.962-3746) in advance of visiting either location. Continue to take precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
