Monday, August 12, 2019
UNCW has once again been named a Best Southeastern School by The Princeton Review. The publication included the university on its list of “2020 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
“When students and their parents look for a college or university, they compare factors like academic quality, cost and campus life,” said UNCW Chancellor Jose V. Sartarelli. “As noted in this guidebook, UNCW rates favorably in all three areas. Students who choose UNCW get great value, a beautiful and vibrant campus, and excellent support by faculty, staff and fellow Seahawks.”
The university is also on The Princeton Review’s list of “399 Green Colleges, 2018,” which recognizes campuses with a strong commitment to sustainability.
UNCW has consistently earned recognition for excellence and affordability, both of which are key foundations of the university’s Strategic Plan. Kiplinger’s recently moved UNCW up 30 places, to 32nd on its list of Best Public College Values 2019.
The university also has earned numerous recognitions from U.S. News & World Report, ranking 8th in the nation among “2019 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs,” 6th among public universities and 15th overall on a list of “Best Regional Universities in the South”; 5th most innovative public university in the South; and 9th in the region among “Best Colleges for Veterans.” The university has five programs recognized on the U.S. News list of “2020 Best Graduate Schools.”
