Laura Brogdon-Primavera, manager of UNCW's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has been named a “40 under 40” award recipient by StarNews Media and the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce for her commitment to serving others in the community.

The inaugural class consists of 40 young professionals and emerging leaders under the age of 40 who live or work in Brunswick, New Hanover or Pender counties.

Brogdon-Primavera’s work to engage the community includes collaborations with Cucalorus CONNECT; the Business Coalition; the NC fILM Forum; Cape Fear Minority Enterprise Development Week; the UNCW Cameron School of Business' Youth Entrepreneurship Program; and D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy's Hamilton Challenge, a youth entrepreneurship initiative sponsored by The Brian Hamilton Foundation.
