For the second straight year, a UNCW student-athlete has been named recipient of the Carolina Panthers Foundation for the Carolinas Scholarship.
 
Senior Kirsten Bootes of the women's soccer team will receive a $10,000 award to defray costs of her graduate work for the 2019-20 academic year. She plans to attend the University of Utah in Salt Lake City to do post-graduate work in clinical psychology.
