From the riveting documentary play of women activists facing life-threatening obstacles to a theater production of the beloved classic Charlotte's Web, the 28th season of UNCW Presents will truly have something for everyone. The performance season kicks off on Sept. 19 with Ragamala Dance Company: Sacred Earth and concludes on April 16 with musical tributes to composers Beethoven and Philip Glass by pianist Simone Dinnerstein and cellist Matt Haimovitz.
The 2019-20 season lineup was announced at a farewell reception for Kristen Brogdon on May 29 in Kenan Auditorium. “Kristen was my first hire at UNCW and one I take great pride in,” said Provost Marilyn Sheerer. “I know we are all impressed at the quality and diversity of programming courtesy of her.”
