Please note that a fireworks display is slated to begin around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, following the Wilmington Hammerheads game at the UNCW soccer stadium. The fireworks will be launched from the recreation fields behind the Student Recreation Center (see campus map). Several sidewalks that run from Price Drive to the Campus Apartments, as well as the area around the sand volleyball courts, will be blocked off 30 minutes prior and 30 minutes after the display for safety reasons. In addition, sounds from the fireworks may be audible throughout the UNCW main campus and surrounding areas.
