UNCW Earns High Rankings for Online and On-Campus Programs from BestColleges.com

UNCW was ranked the 4th best public university in North Carolina and 8th overall in the state by BestColleges.com, a leading provider of higher education information and resources. The university also ranked 6th on the website’s list for Best Online Colleges in North Carolina.
“Academic quality, affordability and excellent support services for all students have long been priorities at UNCW,” said Provost Marilyn Sheerer. “We are proud to be recognized for our efforts to provide students with an outstanding learning experience on campus and online.”
The university’s Strategic Plan emphasizes strong academic programs that prepare students for a career, as well as a commitment to providing expanded educational choices, including online programs for nontraditional students.
According to BestColleges.com’s “2017 Online Education Trends Report,” online learning opportunities are expanding as a way to reach students who work, have family commitments or disabilities, or don’t live within commuting distance of a campus offering their preferred degree programs.
UNCW has been consistently recognized for the affordability and quality of its programs. U.S. News & World Report ranked UNCW 6th among public universities and 16th overall in the publication’s list of Best Regional Universities in the South for 2017 and 76th nationally on its list of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.
