There are many opportunities for staff to volunteer for divisional committees and workgroups. Staff are encouraged to discuss their interests in divisional service with their supervisor before requesting to serve on a divisional committee or workgroup.

The Development and Operations Committee fosters connection and collaboration across the division through key initiatives like Division Meetings, New Employee Orientation, and Seahawk Circles. These efforts promote consistent communication, onboarding support, and meaningful professional communities.

The Events and Celebrations Committee coordinates major divisional celebrations and staff recognition efforts – including Homecoming, Winter, and End-of-Year events – to foster community and highlight excellence across the division.

The Belonging and Connections Committee creates learning opportunities that help Student Affairs staff better support and engage UNCW’s evolving student population. Through programs like Coffee Chats and Student Voices Panels, the committee encourages knowledge-sharing and practical strategies for fostering student success.
