Application, Enrollment, & Orientation Fee Waiver Program

The Undergraduate Fee Waiver form includes all three types of fee waivers-Application, Enrollment, and Orientation and is completed through Docusign.  You must choose which type of fee you wish to have waived when completing the form.  To complete the Undergraduate Fee Waiver form, please use the Docusign link below:

Undergraduate Application, Enrollment, and/or Orientation Fee Waiver

Once you have completed and signed the form, it will automatically route to Human Resources Benefits for them to verify your eligibility and sign as applicable.  A completed signed copy will then route to you, the Undergraduate Admissions office, and the Transitions office.  You may also submit the Undergraduate Application Fee waiver and/or the Undergraduate Enrollment Fee waiver to your Applicant Portal once you have created your account and applied through the Undergraduate Applicant webpage

To submit the Undergraduate Orientation Fee waiver, complete the form via Docusign and then follow the steps below:

• Log-in to the orientation registration system through your (or your student's) Applicant Status Portal. Click on the "Register for your Required Orientation" link on your enrollment checklist.
• Place a reservation for orientation through VisualZen Orientation. Remember to save and ensure that you (or your student) receive the desired orientation session. Do not click "pay now" when prompted.
• After placing a reservation, send an e-mail to transitions@uncw.edu letting them know that you have completed the Docusign form and need to have the waiver applied.  Make sure to include the Name and Banner ID (850 #) in the email.  Once we receive the e-mail, we will process the fee waiver on our end and communicate when the waiver has been applied.
• The orientation fee waiver only covers the cost of the enrolled student’s orientation fee. Any additional/optional fees (such as early student housing fee or guest fee) will need to be paid by the stated deadline so the student may successfully register for orientation.

Graduate Application and/or Orientation Fee Waiver

On the Graduate Admissions Getting Started webpage, you will find various steps for the Application & Admissions process.  Once you have created your account and applied through the Graduate Self Service Center portal, you will use Discount Payment Code UNCW to pay the Graduate Application Fee and then upload your completed signed waiver for submission.

The Graduate School holds an Optional General Orientation session at the beginning of each fall semester which is free to attend.  However, your individual Graduate Program may hold a separate Required Orientation session for which there may be a fee involved and for which you may be able to use the Graduate Orientation Waiver.  Please consult with your academic advisor and/or the program coordinator for more information about this and how to apply if necessary.
