Serve as a "Friendship Family" to UNCW international students
Friendship families help ease students' transition to campus while also providing them an opportunity to engage with American culture in a way they might otherwise not have access to on a traditional college campus. Become a Conversation Partner
Being a conversation partner to an international student is a great way to make international friendships and expand your horizons. Conversation partners meet with their students for 3 hours per week during the semester. Visit the English Language Center's webpage to learn more!
Mentor UNCW international students
The Student Mentor Program pairs returning UNCW students with new international students. The relationship helps new international students acclimate to UNCW and provides returning UNCW students a global experience without leaving Wilmington! Contact international@uncw.edu to learn more.

Support the Intercultural Festival (iFest)
UNCW's annual Intercultural Festival (iFest) is a celebration of world cultures featuring music and dance, food, art, and informational booths representing more than 25 countries. The booths are staffed by UNCW international students, faculty, staff, and community members. iFest fosters a sense of global community and promotes and encourages cultural understanding and appreciation.
