Elizabeth Loparits has given recitals in Hungary, Costa Rica, and the United States including guest appearances with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, UNCG's Focus on Piano Literature, and on the UNCW Piano Masterworks Series.
Recently she performed the world premiere of Meira Warshauer's Ocean Calling III and the North Carolina premiere of Ocean Calling I-II. She served for two summers as principal Young Artist at New Hampshire's Opera North Company, and has been the coach/accompanist for Opera Wilmington since 2014.
Top prizes include the National Bartók Piano Competition in Hungary (1995), the Kodaly-Bartok Chamber Music Competition (1996), and the North Carolina Symphony/UNCG concerto competition (2000).
Currently Dr. Loparits serves as instrumental and vocal accompanist at UNCW Department of Music, where she also teaches introductory music courses and collaborative piano, in addition to maintaining a private piano studio through the UNCW Community Music Academy.
