Let’s get down to business. The blue economy is booming! All the industries that work in, on, and around the ocean and that use its resources are part of the blue economy. They all need to work in a sustainable way to ensure a healthy ocean and bottom line. Join MarineQuest for a week-long Blue Economy exploration of maritime industries that are infusing technology and data science into aquaculture, robotics, energy, bioprospecting, shipping and ocean monitoring to create a blue tech sector. Discover marine biotech’s connection to the pharmaceutical industry and the development of new biomedicines and biotesting materials. Learn about the economic benefits that can come from carbon storage, coastal protection, cultural values and biodiversity. Earn your M.B.A. (marine business adventure) while exploring coastal habitats, touring facilities, meeting with blue econ entrepreneurs and more.
