Why did you study Spanish?

I had a good grasp for the language and sought to increase fluency and apply that learning to the workforce.

How do you use Spanish now?

I own my own consulting company and work with Latino-serving nonprofits to access funds and develop programming that increases the quality of life among Latinos and immigrants across the US. I frequently use Spanish in the workplace to develop bilingual surveys, communicate with others or submit grant requests in Spanish (i.e. to the Mexican Consulate). We are also a bilingual family and I speak a healthy mix of Spanglish with my Guatemalan wife and our three children.
