Please email to reserve the computer lab.

We may close the lab without notice so please give yourself enough time to complete the lab assignments.

Jan. 20 through April 28 2021 LAB HOURS:

Mondays through Friday  1:00-4:00 PM

Lab Usage Guidelines:
  • The user will need a set of headphones to listen to audio files in the lab.
  • Absolutely NO food or drink (even water) is permitted in the lab.
  • It is necessary to know the professor's name, and the course number and section.
  • It is necessary to know the name of the textbook, and to have your lab manual with you.
  • Make sure you know where in the manual the lab exercises are located. There are folders for each language on the desktop of the computers.
  • Users must have their student ID attached by WLRC sticker with you.
  • The lab assistants' job is to make sure that the equipment is working properly. They are not there to help you with your assignments.
  • Don't put your lab work off until the last minute. Although we make every effort to ensure that the lab is open during the scheduled times, the language lab is a one-man operation, and from time to time will be closed due to illness of the scheduled lab assistant or for classroom usages.
  • Audio files in the lab are in MP3 format (which cannot be played in a regular CD player unless it has a function to play MP3). Students who wish to make a copy for home use can bring a blank CD or other media such as USB memory drive and do so.
  • Lab computers now have a program called DeepFreeze installed, which returns them to their original state each time they're rebooted. This means that although students can save documents on the hard drive, as soon as the computer is rebooted the documents will be deleted.
