Payment Policies

$100 Application Fee

A $100 nonrefundable application fee is required before your application will be processed. This fee is used to ship the Form I-20 to your country. If a second shipment is needed (for example, in the case of a deferral), an additional payment may be required depending on the situation.

$250 Nonrefundable Deposit for On-Campus Programs

For on-campus classes, after you are awarded your visa, a $250 non-refundable program deposit is required. This deposit will be subtracted from your final bill. In the case of a deferral, your deposit can be transferred to a future semester, but it will not be refunded.

Housing Deposit and Payment

If you choose to live in a homestay, a homestay deposit is due approximately two months before the move-in date, and full payment is due approximately one month before move-in. Please visit the Do Host Family website for more details.

Tuition and Fees Payment

All UNCW tuition and fees must be paid before the program start date. Payment plans may be available in special circumstances. Details concerning payment plans must be approved by the ELC Director before the program start date.

Tuition Refund Policy

After the first day of classes, all program fees are non-refundable. Any changes to your program selections (for example: length of program, housing, meals) must be made no later than two weeks before the program start date.
