
Voice of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Signature Program
We need and want you to join us as we make intentional efforts toward making UNCW a more diverse and inclusive campus. The Voice of Equity & Inclusion Signature Program is a great way to start. Overview of Requirements
The Voice of Equity & Inclusion Signature Program requires completion of two learning/development sessions and four elective sessions. All sessions will be offered on a rotating basis each fall and spring through the Dare to Learn Academy (D2LA). Participants can sit for these sessions in any order.
To complete the program, participants will be asked to participate in a capstone conversation panel facilitated by a member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team. Participants are expected to track their own progress.
Requirement One:
Attend TWO of the following intensive learning development experiences:
- Born and Raised
- Talking About My Generation
- Vulnerability as a Leadership Skill
Requirement Two:
Complete (4) sessions of those listed below:
- Identity, Power, and Privilege
- Netflix and Spill
- Microaggressions: Recognizing and Challenging Our Blind-spots & Biases
- Ham-handed Holidays
Requirement Three:
Participate in a panel discussion geared toward sharing Voice of Equity & Inclusion Signature Program outcomes.
You must complete requirements one and two before you can participate in the panel discussion. To join a panel discussion, email your completed progress (class names and dates attended) to Kimberly. Upon receipt, Kimberly will provide more information about the panel discussion, including details, date and criteria.

In this one-on-one meeting, you'll discuss your own goals and objectives as a participant in this program and learn more about the requirements.
