More opportunities for faculty-student interaction

Part of the reason for our smaller class sizes is the promotion of faculty-student interaction. (It's a lot easier for you to get to know a professor in a group of 20 instead of a group of 150.) It's also why we encourage students to make use of the Honors Lounge on the second floor of Randall Library, where you can brew a cup of coffee in the Keurig and bump into one of the friendly faces of staff members.

All of our staff members strive to be accessible to students.

Our Director, Dr. Shawn Bingham, will happily meet you for coffee and has been known to start a conversation with a bad pun and end it by introducing you to a faculty member who is looking for research assistants or interns in your exact subject area.

Our Associate Director, Dr. Eva Mehl, loves to talk about studying abroad, brainstorm ideas for upcoming honors seminars, and give you an opportunity to practice your Spanish skills.

Dr. Nathan Grove, the Director of CSURF, can point you in the right direction for national fellowships and scholarships.

Nikki Kroushl, our Student Services Specialist, always has a recommendation for a good book or a student organization you should look into. Peggy Styes and Morgan Rilling, our Administrative Specialist and Office Manager, are always around with a friendly face and a hello.

We want to help you dive into every opportunity you can while you're a Seahawk.
