To all UNCW students, faculty, & staff:

The GSRC is committed to maintaining a shared, inclusive, and trusted space for open discussions about and education on issues related to gender justice.

This includes the current overturning of Roe v. Wade. No matter who you are or your political affiliation or personal beliefs, we are here to support you.

If you need assistance in understanding Roe v. Wade from an educational standpoint, we are here to support you. Reproductive healthcare and reproductive justice have a long and important history, and being educated about this history can provide insights to our current state of affairs and what may lie ahead.

If you need assistance in understanding your reproductive rights in North Carolina, we are here to support you. Access to safe abortions continues to be legal in our state. We can educate you on where to find resources and encourage you to consult with UNCW Student Health Services.

If you need assistance in learning how to exercise your right to vote, we are here to support you. Being informed and educated about registering to vote, finding your polling place, and who and what is on your ballot can help you make responsible decisions and empower you to speak truth to power.

If you need assistance in caring for your mental health and well-being, we are here to support you. UNCW, Wilmington, and North Carolina have a wealth of support. Knowing what to do and where to go for help can alleviate possible painful and challenging emotions, experiences, or interactions.

The GSRC is located in Bear Hall 211. We have a resource library of books, films, pamphlets, and other educational materials that all students, faculty, and staff are welcome to check out. Our dedicated faculty, staff, and student ambassadors are also available for classroom, departmental, and unit presentations.
