IFC Fraternity Recruitment

Fraternity recruitment takes place primarily at the beginning of each semester. Each semester, the Interfraternity Council hosts a Kick-Off event to help interested men meet each organization and provide them with general fraternity information. Each chapter conducts their own recruitment and hosts activities both on and off campus. Chapters post their events around campus on flyers and on their chapter websites. All interested students must register for recruitment and meet the minimum quailifications, be a full-time enrolled student (at least 12 credit hours), have a 2.5 cumulative GPA (*sophomores/juniors/seniors). First year students are encouraged to participate in recruitment!

Recruitment Tips

Do your research! This is a big decision and you need to be sure to make the best decision for you.
Ask questions! Be sure you know about any financial obligations, time commitments, academic success, and the fraternity's involvement on campus. While the fraternities want to get to know you, you need to get to know the fraternity too.
Use your best judgment. Do not miss out on an opportunity because of peer pressure or stereotypes. Make your own decisions!
