Cybersecurity Symposium July 31
UNCW is honored to host the United States Secret Service's Cyber-Enabled Fraud and Business Email Compromise Symposium. Given the rise of cyber-enabled fraud and business email compromise across various industries, this event is an opportunity to provide the campus community with a timely observation of the threat landscape.
The U.S. Secret Service will provide a 2-hour talk on the current cybercrime trends hitting both organizations and individuals, to include:
- Ransomware
- Data Breaches
- Cryptocurrency Crimes
- Phishing
- Account takeovers
- Impersonation Scams
- AI-Assisted Crimes
- Romance Scams
- Investment Scams
- Business Email Compromise Deep Dive
UNCW aims to utilize this symposium to foster a deeper understanding and stimulate active discussions regarding cyber-enabled fraud, business email compromise and the impact it can have on campus and at home.

Parking for Symposium
Parking is available in the Randall Library Lot, located at 5148 Randall Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403.
From the lot, there is a direct path to Morton Hall, which has been highlighted on the featured map.
Visitors may park in designated ParkMobile spaces only. Parking spaces for visitors are outlined by teal lines and identified by appropriate signs. The rate for ParkMobile is $2 per hour.
