Applied Learning Initiatives

The Applied Learning Summer Institute

The Applied Learning Summer Institute is a multi-day UNCW conference and presentation series on Applied Learning that allows faculty to discuss best practices, exchange ideas, and train with nationally recognized experts. At the Summer Institute, you'll get a chance to explore applied learning concepts, engage in applied learning firsthand, network with colleagues and potential collaborators, and hone your applied learning skills. The Summer Institute is also an excellent way to get a pre-semester boost of enthusiasm about new pedagogies and motivate yourself to start the new academic year strong!

Applied Learning Pedagogy Initiatives

Each semester, the Office of Applied Learning funds courses, experiences, and other projects led by faculty and designed to bring Applied Learning Experiences directly to UNCW students. These experiences provide them with hands on, real world training and the skills they need to be professionally competitive in their field and in their future.
