As a Computer Science Instructor for Youth Programs you will help guide our students into a world full of computer science and programming tasks. Instructors will need to have experience with computer programming and be familiar with Lego Mindstorms, Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Instructors must feel comfortable leading age appropriate challenges utilizing this equipment.


  • Provide instruction for campers ages 10-17
  • Supervise campers in the classroom, in the field, and during lunch
  • Provide first aid to campers
  • General set up, clean up, and maintenance of camp classroom
  • Behavior management of students
  • Ensure Youth Programs policies, safety expectations, and staffing ratios are carried out at all times


  • Must be able to lead and participate in challenging and new learning experiences
  • Must have strong oral communication skills to communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff
  • Must have previous experience and desire to work with children
  • Must have strong knowledge about computer science and programming
  • Preference is to have a computer science degree, currently working towards a degree in computer science, or experience with a robotics team
  • CPR/First Aid is required (must be obtained before camp starts)

Terms of Employment:

  • June 15th through July 31st, Monday through Friday (potential for limited or no hours during July 4th holiday and low camp enrollments)
  • Mandatory training during the week of June 8th
  • Average work week is 40 hours from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
  • Pay rate starts at $8.00/hr, dependent on qualifications up to $20.00/hr
  • Employment is subject to a criminal and Homeland Security background check.
