Mapping Community Engagement

The geographic information systems data below showcases the innovative work UNCW faculty, staff, and students are doing alongside community partners. Academic units were asked to share up to five examples of impactful community engagement efforts that are currently underway. Community engagement is categorized in one or more of the following:

Talent: cradle-to-grave human capital and talent development to include knowledge transfer, mentorship, and other forms of individual development

Innovation: knowledge application that produce new technologies, creative works, and novel solutions to solve problems

Place: making community more attractive and competitive - i.e., a place where people want to live, create and take jobs, raise their families, participate in civic life, and age and retire
