Community Engagement Grants

Community Engagement Grants provide financial support for collaborative partnerships among community partner, student, and faculty and staff teams. Projects advance the development of community partner capacity, engage students in service learning and/or research, and facilitate the evolution of faculty scholarly identity as it relates to community-identified needs. The ultimate goal of these grants is to expand and deepen mutually beneficial relationships among faculty, staff, students, and community partners in ways that make a sustained positive difference in our communities.

Grants are awarded on a biannual basis. Each Fall, proposals are accepted for Spring semester projects. Each Spring, proposals are accepted for Fall semester or full academic year projects. Applications are generally due October 15th and March 15th, and awards are announced before the end of the semester. Applications can be viewed and submitted via InfoReady. Please check the Community Engagement Grant FAQ for more details, including the grant period dates.

The Office of Community Engagement encourages new partnerships as well as the continuation of previously awarded projects and expansions on previous collaborations. If you would like to discuss an idea for a proposal or are in search of a partner, please contact us at communityengagement@uncw.edu.
