Razor Walker Winners

An Award for Distinguished Service to the Children and Youth of North Carolina

Since 1993, the Watson College of Education has honored individuals whose vision, tenacity, courage and sacrifice have made a difference in the lives of young people in our state. Many of these individuals have overcome great obstacles and taken significant professional risk to support the education and health of children and youth.

They come from many different backgrounds and walks of life, from all areas of the state, and from a variety of different professions, but they all have one thing in common: an unwavering commitment to give North Carolina's children every opportunity to grow up strong and healthy, to receive a high-quality education, and to become our society's future leaders.

The Razor Walker Awards celebrate the efforts, achievements and contributions of these special people, who believe so strongly that our children are our most precious resource. We thank them for "walking the razor's edge" for the children and youth of North Carolina.

The 28th Annual Razor Walker Awards Ceremony and Dinner has been postponed until further notice. The event was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. but due to current restrictions on gatherings of large groups, it will now be held at a later date.
