Fall PDS Site
Coordinator Meeting ~ 9/10/10
We had six partnership districts represented, with 46
participants in attendance on Friday, September 10th! This meeting
afforded the opportunity for us to discuss the Watson College of Education
resources that are available to our partners (Betty Holden Stike
Educational Laboratory, Curriculum Materials Center, Assistive Technology
Demonstration and Lending Site, National Board Certification) and discuss
school professional development needs.
Participants completed the following survey to give us
feedback on how we can support you.
If you did not make the meeting, click below to complete the
survey:

The agenda and handouts from the meeting can be found on
the PDS Web site under Current Participants - Site Coordinator/
Administrators sections (User name: pds; Password: participants).
PDS Orientation
Online Training Module - Now Available!
Training to become a PDS partner will now be done through
our NEW online "PDS Orientation Training." This training
consists of five modules that can be completed at one sitting or done
over a period of time convenient to the participant. Modules
include: Introduction, Adult Learning and Cognitive Coaching, Supporting
Interns, and Wrapping it Up. The final step in the training process
is completing the PDS Partnership Application. A certificate for 10 hours (1 CEU) of
professional development will be issued upon completion.
Administrators may e-mail childsj@uncw.edu throughout the
year the name and e-mail address of teachers/administrators at their
school that want to enter our partnership. A user name and password
to access the training program will be created and e-mailed directly to
the person. The training program will be available throughout the
year.
