MED Week recognizes the achievements of local minority entrepreneurs, provides opportunities for networking, and presents workshops to help grow and strengthen businesses. All events open to the public.

During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to:

Keynote speaker: Hops, Hurricanes, and Hiring: Operating in a Hyper-Cometitive Environment

Jud Watkins, Wrightsville Beach Brewery’s Owner and Head Oyster Shucker, will talk about taking an idea and turning it into one of our region’s largest breweries. Among the lessons learned: The power of local music, building permits can take a long time, Wilmington really likes pizza and an orange zest and vanilla Kölsch can be a best seller.
