Peer Coaching Signature Program

Peer Coaching Signature Program

Do you want to become a resource to your teammates and campus colleagues? Are you interested in learning how to strategically help someone work through a challenge, come up with ideas, or create a talent development plan? With your supervisor’s approval, Employee Leadership, Learning and Engagement can help!

What is it?

Peer coaching is a confidential process through which two or more professional colleagues work together to reflect on current practices; expand, refine, and build new skills; share ideas; teach one another; conduct research; or solve problems.

This 3-part series (3 hours each) equips UNCW employees with a peer coaching model, through which they'll gain strategies, tools and skills to be a peer coach. Additionally, those who successfully complete this program will have the opportunity to join a campus-wide peer coaching network.

Who should join?

If you are someone who is looking to develop your interpersonal communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills so that you can help those around you, then this program is for you.

Why should I apply?

  • Learn a coaching model that outlines the process for working with others
  • Gain strategies to help you promote open, flexible and confident coaching relationships
