UNCW Hosts 2015 Instructional Innovation Incubator (i3@UNC)

i3@UNC was hosted at UNC Wilmington from May 31-June 7, 2015. The University of North Carolina Office of Learning Technology & Innovation invited faculty members from throughout the UNC system to apply to participate in the 2015 Instructional Innovation Incubator (i3@UNC), a pilot workshop for developing new online, blended, hybrid, or otherwise technologically-enhanced courses that expand educational opportunities for North Carolinians.

Developing a new course offers a unique opportunity for creativity and innovation. i3@UNC enables faculty to seize this opportunity in a collaborative learning community of fellow educators, assisted by experts in learning technology and instructional design. Online and blended courses enable the University to reach underserved and non-traditional students more effectively. i3@UNC emphasizes approaches that meet the needs of these students.

The 28 participants are full-time faculty members with tenure, on the tenure track, or with five years of full-time teaching experience at one or more of the institutions of the University of North Carolina.
