UNCW will hold five ceremonies during its spring 2024 commencement exercises May 10-11, graduating approximately 2,919 students (2,204 undergraduate, 628 master’s and 86 doctoral*). All ceremonies will take place in Trask Coliseum.

The Commencement Ceremonies will be live-streamed for family and friends to view. The livestream will begin approximately one hour before each ceremony.
Spring Commencement exercises are scheduled for May 10 and 11, 2024. All spring graduates are invited to participate.
All graduates will be assigned to a ceremony based on their degree, college or school. Graduates who wish to participate in Commencement must attend their assigned ceremony. We cannot accommodate any ceremony-change requests
Commencement dates are set by the University Calendar Committee and will be published here a minimum of 12 months in advance.

Many departments also host departmental receptions during commencement week, which may be scheduled as early as the Thursday before the published commencement dates.

On certain occasions, undergraduate students may be permitted to participate in commencement the semester before completing their degree requirements. The Office of the Registrar manages this process. Learn more about the Early Commencement Participation process.
