The theme of the 2017 conference was “Integrated Marketing Communication and Popular Culture.” A key goal of the conference was to explore how Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), as grounded in the communication discipline, provides frameworks and opportunities for engaging popular culture. 

Wilmington is situated between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean in southeastern North Carolina. Our nickname is “the Port City” and much of our history is tied to our geographic location. UNCW’s campus is 15 minutes away from historic downtown Wilmington to the west and Wrightsville Beach to the east.

About the logo:

The Logo was designed by UNCW’s Pier 601 Creative team. The students were given full creative liberty and used this logo as a way to apply their learning. They were inspired by UNCW’s colors and incorporated them into the design. They also used clean lines to enhance readability and to give a more modern look.
