Nurse Educator
The Nurse Educator program offers nursing professionals the unique opportunity to influence the future of nursing through education. The fully online MSN program, which can be completed in as few as 12 months, will prepare students with teaching and learning skills to prepare health care educators for future health care delivery systems. The Nurse Educator option provides advanced theory and practicum experiences emphasizing both nursing education in institutions of higher education for students in a variety of health care education programs and for health care education for patients and families across the life span in a variety of health care contexts. Students are prepared to teach in either higher education or clinical settings.
Completion of the program will enable nurse educators in the state of North Carolina to meet the requirements for the North Carolina Board of Nursing and enable the graduates to meet the education requirement for some specialty certification examinations.
