Kelly B. Laham: DNP, RN, ANP-BC, CNE

Kelly LahamDr. Kelly Laham joined the SON faculty in 2011 after practicing as a nurse practitioner in cardiology and rural primary care. She has a passion for rural health and completed her DNP at East Carolina University with a project on improving depression screenings in the rural health adult primary care setting. Prior to this, Dr. Laham earned her BA from Salem College, an ADN from James Sprunt Community College, BSN from Barton College, and a MSN from ECU with an Adult Nurse Practitioner Concentration.

Laham teaches primarily in the graduate FNP program, along with a few courses in the RN-BSN program. Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as Pathophysiological and Pharmacological, Community Health Nursing, Complex Health Problems Across the Lifespan, and Advanced Primary Care of families. Laham loves teaching and helping nurses at all levels grow throughout their prospective programs.
