Accreditation

The Respiratory Therapy Program in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is pursuing accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). CoARC accredits degree-granting programs in respiratory care that have undergone a rigorous process of voluntary peer review and have met or exceeded the minimum accreditation Standards as set by the professional association in cooperation with CoARC. CoARC accreditation is the “gold standard” in accreditation in respiratory therapy education.

The outcomes data made available to the public, and published on our program’s webpage, provides the public with comparable data reported to CoARC by programs pursuing or continuing accreditation in partnership with the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
