CHHS Hosts the NC Chapter Society for Public Health Education, Inc. (NC SOPHE) Annual Meeting

The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) hosted the North Carolina Chapter, Society for Public Health Education, Inc. (NC SOPHE) Annual Meeting in the Warwick Center on October 26-27.

The theme of this year’s annual meeting was “Leading the Way to a Healthier North Carolina Through Health Education.” The meeting showcased extraordinary health educators and explored new opportunities for community change and growth within the field of health education.

CHHS faculty, staff and students were involved in the conference as session presenters, panelist, poster presenters and a keynote speaker. Student volunteers served as session champions, helping to facilitate breakout sessions.

The North Carolina Public Health Training Center (NCPHTC) co-sponsored the breakout sessions to serve as trainings for public health professionals and to provide the opportunity for continuing education credits.
