CHHS Hires New Executive Assistant to the Dean

4/19: In March, CHHS hired Ashlee Jensen as the new Executive Assistant to the Dean.

In this role, Jensen will serve as a member of the CHHS Leadership Team, provide administrative support to Dean Charles Hardy and facilitate efforts across the leadership team’s administrative support staff to ensure operational effectiveness.

“Since joining CHHS in September of 2015, I have flourished in my professional development and education, as well as in my personal life,” Jensen said. “I largely credit our organization for my growth and am grateful for all of the opportunities I have been provided with here. There is nowhere on campus I would rather be than CHHS and am so happy I can serve our College in a new way in this new role. “

Jensen brings seven years of administrative support experience in both higher education and in a human services organization. During her time with CHHS, she has provided support to a number of administrators, including the assistant dean for finance and resource management, assistant dean for community engagement, associate dean for research and innovation and senior associate dean.

Jensen said she looks forward to joining the CHHS Leadership Team and learning new management skills as she takes on the mentoring of the CHHS student office assistants in their professional journeys.

“I am most excited to be continuing my work with such an amazing team of faculty, staff and students and within the wonderful culture we enjoy here at CHHS,” she said.

Jensen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and is currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work Program within CHHS.
