Healthcare Administration Program Wins AUPHA Engagement Award

Thursday, January 27, 2022 - UNC Wilmington’s Healthcare Administration program has won an Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) Engagement Award. The award recognizes a new Program member for accomplishments within a single year. Eligibility criteria include AUPHA program membership for less than five year and cumulative faculty participation in a variety of areas including publishing in the Journal of Health Administration Education and participation in meetings, networks and forums.

The Master of Healthcare Administration program welcomed its first cohort in spring 2020 and now boasts more than 300 students.

“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the MHA faculty,” says Dr. Eric Richardson, MHA program coordinator. “We’re proud to participate in our professional communities and engage in research and scholarship with our peers. This designation underscores our commitment to the program’s vision of being recognized as a leader in the field of online graduate education in healthcare administration within the State of North Carolina and beyond.”

Since 2018, AUPHA has awarded member programs and faculty for their service and engagement with AUPHA. The 2022 AUPHA Engagement Awards will be presented during the 2022 AUPHA Annual Meeting in June.
