Miner.jpgNate Miner: Assistant Dean for Finance and Resource Management

Nate Miner is the assistant dean for finance and resource management in the College of Health and Human Services at UNCW. In this role, he serves on the Leadership Team for the college and provides leadership for the Business Core Service Team within the college’s shared services model. Miner facilitates the resource allocation processes to ensure alignment of resources to CHHS priorities, as well as participates in strategic and financial planning. He manages all financial, budgetary, personnel, facilities and business processes for all units in the CHHS. 

Miner has eight years of experience in fiscal and business management at UNCW—previously serving as the assistant director for business operations, as well as the assistant director of housing operations within the Office of Housing and Residence Life—before coming to CHHS to serve as the director of resource management. Within his roles at CHHS and housing and residence life, he established a firm foundation around budgeting within higher education and worked with departmental leadership to develop predictive and analytical models to support decision-making.

Before joining UNCW, Miner served as a public-school teacher, teaching math to high school students in Brunswick County. Miner holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, both received from UNCW.
