Scholarship Deadlines

  • December

    Goodnight Scholars Program - NC State

    Application Deadline: Typically the first week of December. 
    Award Amount: $20,000 per year
    Requirements:
    • Submit a general NC State application before the deadline. 
    • Indicate a family income of less than $110,000 on the NC State application.
    • Be a North Carolina Resident 
    • Select a STEM Major or STEM education major.
     

    AXA Achievement Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Second week of December. 
    Award Amount: $2,500 - $25,000
    Requirements:
    • Be a United States citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
    • Be a current high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2019-20 academic year. Enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis
    • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
     

    Foot Locker Scholar Athletes

    Application Deadline: Second week of December. 
    Award Amount: $20,000
    Requirements:
    • Be entering college in the Fall of 2019 as a Freshman at a four-year school for an undergraduate degree
    • Be currently involved in high school sports, intramural sports, or community-based sports
    • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (you will be asked to prove citizenship and age if you win)
    • Not be an employee, officer or director of Foot Locker, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries, or a member of the immediate family of such an employee, officer or director
     

    Unigo $10K Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Last week of December. 
    Award Amount: $10,000
    Requirements:
    • Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
    • Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia
    • Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2026) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

    Point Foundation

    Application Deadline:  Second week of January.  
    Award Amount:
    "Last Provider" Basis  
    Requirements:
    • Point Scholarships are awarded on a “last provider” basis, meaning that Point fills in the gaps and provides funds not provided by other scholarships, grants, loans, work/study programs, etc. It is the responsibility of those selected as Point Scholars to annually secure as much other funding as possible.
    • Be enrolled in a degree-granting undergraduate or graduate program
    • Students at community colleges, online programs, trade schools, or post-doctoral research programs are not eligible
    • Be a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community

    CUNY BECAS Scholarship Program

    Application Deadline: Last week of January.  
    Award Amount: $6,730 
    Requirements:
    • Intend to enroll full-time in an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program at a CUNY Campus
    • Must take a course in either Mexican Migration and or Spanish Language to receive the award
    • GPA requirement: 3.0


    Opportunity Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Last week of January.  
    Award Amount:
    $1,000 to $80,000  
    Requirements:
    • High school senior
    • Live in, and attend or have graduated from a high school in a qualifying state (Alaska, North Dakota, Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia) by the end of the academic year
    • Must have taken the SAT or ACT and intend to enroll in an Opportunity Partner College
    • Are not and have not previously enrolled in a four-year institution or a four-year bachelor’s degree program
    • Came to the US before reaching your 16th birthday
    • Have or meet DACA/TPS eligibility requirements
    • Have significant unmet financial needs
    • GPA requirement: 2.75

    Award Amount:
    $5,000 to $10,000
    Requirements:
    • High school senior
    • Region: National
    • Show compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle

    theDream.us National Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Last week of February.  
    Award Amount:
    $14,500 to $29,000
    Requirements:
    • High school senior, community college student, undergraduate student
    • Region: National
    • Field of Study: Any
    • Have graduated or will graduate from high school by the end of the academic year
    • Are not/have not previously been enrolled in a four-year institution or earned more than 21 credits in a community college
    • Intend to enroll full-time at a Partner College by the Spring of the following academic year
    • Have or meet the eligibility requirements for DACA/TPS
    • GPA requirement: 2.5

    National Precast Concrete Association Foundation Scholarship (NPCA)

    Application Deadline: Last week of March.  
    Award Amount:
    $2,500 to $3,000
    Requirements:
    • High School Senior, Undergraduate Student, Recent Graduate, Graduate Student
    • Region: National
    • Field of Study: Academic field related to the building, construction or precast concrete industry
    • Enrolled in a four-year college, a community college or a vocational school with a recognized related course of study
    • Enrolled during the academic year following the application deadline

    Becca Closet Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Las week of  March.  
    Award Amount:
    $1,000
    Requirements:
    • High school senior
    • Region: National
    • Field of Study: Any
    • Graduating high school senior in the U.S.
    • Will attend a regionally-accredited non-profit 2 or 4-year college/university or technical institution
    • Made an outstanding, documented contribution to their local community through volunteer service of any kind
    • DACA recipient
    • GPA requirement: 2.0

    Education Matters Scholarship

    Award Amount: $5,000
    Requirements:

    Young Hispanic Leaders Scholarship

    Application Deadline: Friday, November 30, 2018
    Award Amount: $5,000
    Requirements:
    • Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories
    • Demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support
    • At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry
    • Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented)
    • Recipients must also be available to attend the 37th USHLI National Conference in Chicago, IL, from  February 14-17, 2019.

 

 

Programs and summer Camps Deadlines

UNCW steam team summer program

Application Deadline: Friday, March 15, 2019 
Location: University of North Carolina Wilmington Program Date: June 22-28, 2019
Details:

  • UNCW STEAM Team is a weeklong, residential summer program hosted by UNCW for underserved ninth- and tenth-grade students recruited from New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties
  • The program encourages students from populations underrepresented in universities and colleges to pursue higher education and a variety of career paths through applied learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics
  • The program is free for admitted students

Caminos

Application Deadline: Wednesday, April 1, 2020  
Location: North Carolina State University  Program Date: June 28- July 1, 2020 
Details:

  • Are a rising 11th or 12th-grade student that identifies as Hispanic/Latinx or has an interest in Hispanic/Latinx Culture
  • Have a cumulative GPA of a 3.5 or higher
  • This program is offered at no charge, but there is a $20 deposit to confirm participation in the program. The deposit will cover the cost of program materials

Leadership Institute for Future Teachers

  • Engage in intensive and innovative on-campus activities
  • Interact with statewide leaders in education
  • Enhance communication and leadership skills to be competitive for statewide and national scholarships
