Seahawk Success

Return to UNCW and Complete Your Bachelor's Degree!

We would love to support you in coming back and reaching the goal of a degree.

What is the Seahawk Success Program?

The Seahawk Success Program has been developed to help former students come back and finish their degrees at UNCW.  A benefit to this program is that before you formally re-apply, you can meet with a Seahawk Success Advisor to make the process easier and answer your initial questions.  The Seahawk Success Advisor can help determine the best degree completion pathway for you.

To qualify for the Seahawk Success Program, you must:

  • Have been previously enrolled as a degree seeking student at UNCW
  • Have completed at least 70 hours of college credit
  • Have been away from UNCW for at least one year
  • Be in good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing

We would love to hear from you about what would help you resume your academic journey and would ask that you complete this quick survey.

If you are interested in exploring this opportunity and would like to talk to someone before starting the process of re-enrolling, please indicate that on the survey and we will get in touch with you.

Things to think about and discuss during your initial meeting:

  • Your academic record, including possible coursework taken at other institutions.
  • Do you wish to continue in the degree you were working on before or are you interested in pursuing a different degree/career path?
  • Do you want to take face to face classes or explore online options?
  • Time needed to complete degree of choice.
  • Begin to map out potential hours needed to complete degree of choice.
  • Any questions or concerns you may have about resuming your education.
  • Coordination with other departments on campus to answer some of your questions or concerns.  Some of these offices may include the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, the Career Center, the Learning Center, Office of Military Affairs, and academic departments.
