Campus Interview Days
The UNCW Career Center works with employers to schedule campus interview days on-campus within the Career Center or virtually. Interview days being offered by employers can be found in Handshake.
Within the Career Center we have 3 interview rooms that students are able to reserve ahead of time. Please call the Career Center to reserve a quiet space for your interview.
Participating in a Campus Interview Day
- Campus Interviews: Follow the two helpful Handshake Guides for step by step instructions on how to view and sign up for an interview day with an employer.
- Cameron BUS 206 Mock Interview Program: For each BUS 206 class participating in mock interviews, the Career Center will send a document to the professor outlining exactly how to upload a resume and how to apply to sign up for a mock interview in Handshake. This document will also include key dates specific to the class. Students should contact their professor directly regarding any assignment specific questions.
No-Show Policy
Students are expected to inform the Career Center if they are no longer able to participate in a scheduled interview with an employer. Students are required to call or email the Career Center as soon as possible whether to cancel or to try to reschedule the interview. Professionalism and accountability are highly valued by the Career Center as well as by the employers we partner with. It is important to respect the recruiters time as well as open up the spot for another student who could potentially interview.
No showing to an interview with an employer is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the student as well as UNCW. Our relationship with employers is very important and no shows can negatively affect opportunities on campus for other UNCW students.
If a student does no show to an interview with an employer that student will be required to write a letter of apology to the recruiter. The student's Handshake account will be suspended until the apology letter has been received.
