Biology is the largest and most diverse field of science, and a degree in biology signifies the completion of a rigorous, multidisciplinary curriculum.  This makes a degree in a biological field an excellent platform from which to launch a career, whether you are interested in marine biology, conservation, a health profession, the pharmaceutical industry, or a host of other options.  However, identifying the best path through a complex undergraduate curriculum can be a daunting task.  From the moment you declare a major in the Department of Biology and Marine Biology you will be guided toward a course of study that best prepares you for your career goals. This begins when you meet with a departmental advising coordinator and select a career track, which will lead to a set of courses that will not only meet the degree requirements, but are tailored to your specific goals.
