UNCW Corporations

The UNCW Corporations (UNCW Corporation, UNCW Corporation II and UNCW Research Foundation) are component units of the university and organized as a North Carolina non-profit corporation to enhance the University of North Carolina Wilmington's educational mission, including, without limitation, overseeing and assisting with the acquisition and financing of capital assets for the university. Although legally separate from the university, the Corporations are considered a component unit of the university because the university's governing body appoints the Corporation's Board of Directors.
